Siddington news by Alison Wagstaff

THERE is no paper edition of the Village News for June but an online copy is available on the village website: www.siddington.com.

THE BT phone box outside the village hall has been disconnected due to insufficient use.

The majority of people now carry a mobile phone so this is unlikely to have a major impact on the village, but anyone wishing to use the defibrillator on the village hall wall in an emergency must first dial 999 for the code to open the defibrillator box. In an emergency you must therefore make sure that you have a mobile with you.

THE parish council has been made aware of a dog fouling issue around the parish.

This coincides with a new campaign by Cotswold District Council to make dog owners aware of their responsibilities.

CDC is calling on all residents to take action against dog owners who have not cleaned up after their dog by reporting offences to the Council’s Environmental and Regulatory Services team.

Residents can report incidents of dog fouling on the council website (bit.ly/2zxCy91), if possible noting the date, time and place, the name and address of the person in charge of the dog (if known), and a description of the dog.
