No new deaths from coronavirus in hospitals in the South West have been announced today.

It is the first time since March 16 that there has not been at least one hospital death from Covid-19 in the region.

However, there is often a reporting lag over the weekend and the figures could be revised at a later date.

Daily deaths in the South West peaked at 47 on April 8. There have been 1,205 in total.

North Bristol NHS Trust has reported 114 deaths, but none since May 23.

There have been 191 deaths at Gloucestershire hospitals, with the most recent being on May 27.

Great Western Hospital has recorded have recorded 118 deaths, with the latest reported on May 30.

Across the country a further 108 people have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 26,722.
