GLOUCESTERSHIRE hospitals have reported no coronavirus related deaths for a whole week, for the first time since the pandemic hit the county.

The Covid19 death toll dropped to zero between May 28 and June 3, at both Gloucestershire’s NHS trusts.

Since the first death in the county's hospitals on March 12, there have been 225 coronavirus related deaths there, NHS England has reported.

During the same period, 1,376 cases have also been recorded across Gloucestershire.

According to Public Health England, that includes 198 cases in Stroud; 156 in the Cotswolds, and 403 in Gloucester.
