A MAN had to be pulled to safety after his car crashed and rolled down a bank near Nailsworth.
The driver's car crashed on Bath Road and his vehicle then rolled down the bank next to the Old Fleece Pub in North Woodchester earlier today.
Local resident Simon Jones was able to help pull the man from his car before the ambulance arrived.
Mr Jones said: "Me and some friends were on the cycle track and then we heard this massive bang.
"When I got there I saw the car, so I went down the bank and got the man out and pulled him up the bank and stayed with him until the ambulance arrived."
Mr Jones said the man, who looked to be in his 50s or 60s, was talking after the accident and he did not appear to have sustained any serious injuries.
