STROUD Town Council wants to pay tribute to the town's Lockdown Heroes.

It is calling for people to nominate individuals or groups who have gone above and beyond to support others in the pandemic.

"At this time year we would usually hold our Annual Town Meeting where we would present our awards to people and organisations who have excelled in supporting our community," said Town Mayor Kevin Cranston.

"Due to the pandemic our meeting has had to be postponed, but we would still like to celebrate the amazing work going on in our town."

All winners will be presented with a certificate and, with their permission, their names will be added to a roll of honour on the Town Council website and celebrated across the Town Council's social media channels.

To nominate someone please complete a short form at: surveymonkey.co.uk/r/StroudHeroesand tell the Town Council who you think should be celebrated for the work they have been doing to help Stroud get through these difficult times.

People can also follow link to the nomination form on the Town Council website: stroudtown.gov.uk/or call the Town Council during working hours on 01453 762817.
