It has been many long weeks since residents at Moreton Hill Care Home in Stonehouse have seen their families due to the pandemic, but finally they were reunited earlier this week.
The staff set up tables and chairs, which were cleaned between visits, in the garden at the care home for the get-togethers, and many were moved to tears by the some of the reunions taking place.
General manager, Daney Thomas said: "It is a special and very touching time for our residents seeing their families after such a long time. "It has been stressful for everyone. We have kept everyone connected to family and the community using iPads but it isn't the same as being together.
"We are thrilled that we can now make this happen for them.
"All of our residents and staff at the home have been fully tested and are Covid-free, and Moreton Hill is once again able to welcome new residents."
