Gardiner Haskins recently celebrated its own 40th anniversary with Heather’s coming not far behind.

Retail director, Steve Whitcombe, who has worked with Heather for many years said: “40 years is an incredible achievement and we’re all really proud of Heather and grateful for her loyalty to Gardiner Haskins.

"Heather really is integral to the running of the store and she keeps everyone on their toes, myself included!”

The Gardiner Haskins team celebrated Heather’s achievement with decorations, gifts and plenty of cake.

Steve Whitcombe added: “We like to celebrate big work anniversaries and we seem to have a lot of them.

"Many of our staff have been here for 10, 20, 30+ years and I believe that’s testament to the loyalty of our teams which makes us a successful independent store.”

Responding to a flood of comments on Facebook, Heather said: “Thank you to the directors, managers and staff for my wonderful gifts, and to all the lovely messages.”
