Paul Hazel has been appointed as the new chairman of the Cotswold Water Park Trust.

With over forty years of experience of senior financial roles covering a wide range of commercial and legal matters worldwide, Paul was appointed to the position of chairman in a unanimous vote by the charity’s trustees.

Paul has lived in Gloucestershire for 20 years and has been a trustee of the Cotswold Water Park Trust for three years.

As a trustee of four charities, Paul has a vast knowledge of the non-profit sector to bring to the trust.

“The Cotswold Water Park is an incredible resource and landscape," he said.

"The 170 lakes spread across 40 square miles are rich in history and biodiversity and full of potential.

“Our challenge is to use our skills and limited resources, to assist and guide the Cotswold Water Park’s current and future plans to ensure that people and wildlife thrive together.”

“The Cotswold Water Park Trust is the focal point for the protection and improvement of the Water Park’s rich habitats, for much of the future development of facilities and public access.”

CWPT Development Director Matthew Millett said that he was delighted that Paul Hazel has taken the role of chairman.

"The Cotswold Water Park Trust has seven trustees with a broad range of skills and experience and with Paul’s leadership and direction, we are looking forward to the trust entering into an exciting new phase.”
