CAM and Dursley residents have submitted over 900 photographs to a community art project.

Inspired by the rainbow drawings celebrating NHS and key workers, Dursley youth worker Kath Hanbury and artist Abi Nicol said they hoped to bring the community together by creating giant photographic rainbows.

They asked residents to use their camera phones to take seven pictures, one of each colour of the rainbow.

Every image submitted has been printed onto window film and these are now being collaged together to create rainbows which will be installed in prominent windows across the area, including at Froffy Coffee, Kingshill House and the Quarry Chapel.

“People have been so inventive and creative at searching out the colours,” said Abi.

“We have had everything from Lego bricks to lettuces, red stiletto shoes to a bumble bee on a yellow flower.

"It is so exciting to see the exhibition coming together.”

The rainbows will be installed over the coming weeks.
