Property consultancy Barnsdales has been appointed as the new property managers of Cirencester Office Park.

Consultant surveyor at Barnsdales, Spencer Gower is to become the new property manager for all three phases of Cirencester Office Park, having continued to manage phases two and three after Barnsdales purchased David Allberry & Co in July 2018.

An experienced chartered surveyor, Spencer Gower has supported a wide range of businesses, property owners and landlords in the area.

Earlier this year, Barnsdales was appointed property manager and joint letting agent for Bishops Walk Shopping Centre in Cirencester and has recently been appointed as joint letting agent of 4 West Market Place in the town.

As more businesses are allowed to return to work, one of Spencer’s first steps as manager has been to adapt the offices to become COVID-secure.

Spencer said: “I’m very excited to be taking on the role of property manager for the entire Cirencester Office Park and I don’t think there’s been a greater need for proactive, responsible and considerate property management.

“As the lockdown measures ease, more and more businesses are able to return to workplaces and offices, but we have to make sure people are as safe as possible.

“We’ve set up a range of measures to make our business park Covid-secure.

"This includes the installation of hand sanitiser pumps, two metre markings, keep left signs and one-way systems where possible.

"I’m working closely with tenants to help them where necessary to do the same within their office units, so we can help everyone return to work as safely as possible. "We have also arranged for daily deep cleaning of all the common areas.

“It’s undoubtedly the case that coronavirus is going to change the way we work, perhaps forever.

"While office working and shared spaces will always be necessary, many companies have realised that remote working and flexible working is entirely possible and it certainly has its advantages. Meanwhile social distancing rules may need to be in place for a long time to come.

“The impact that this has on business parks and offices can’t be understated, and it’s up to us, as property managers to adapt to the new normal as well as to be proactive and forward-looking so we can continue to provide what businesses need and want.

“Cirencester Office Park is a fantastic location, providing high quality office space for large and small businesses which can easily be adapted for socially distanced, COVID-secure working.”

Cirencester Office Park was built in the early 2000s and it consists of three office blocks constructed over three phases. It is presently home to 13 companies including Savills, Trust Systems Ltd, Bromford, V12 Telecom and Sodra Wood, with many more companies occupying space with serviced office provider UBC.
