Dann Barbers in Stroud reopened its doors on Saturday after hairdressers got the go-ahead from the government.

The popular Stroud barber has released a video showing the new social distancing measures and the process customers will go through when they arrive for their appointment.

Shop owner Simon Dann said after previously doing walk ins, the shop is now only taking appointments.

"We had started doing walk-ins before lockdown anyway, so we had a tried-and-tested system," said Simon.

"It's of course a great way to keep the numbers down in the shop."

In terms of the other main social distancing meausres the shop has in place, Simon added: "We use disposable gowns so we're not using the same one, and our equipment is always cleaned and sterilised before every new customer.

"We're also of course wearing gloves and facemasks which we also ask the customer to wear as well, and we have hand sanitiser for customers when they come in and leave.

"And instead of using five chairs like before, we have taken two out so we are only using three for the safety of our staff and our customers."
