WOTTON’S swimming pool is set to reopen on Wednesday, 15 July.

This follows the Government announcement last night that outdoor pools will be able to reopen from Saturday, July 11.

Wotton's pool will be open daily from Wednesday, 15 July, and the opening hours will be 10am-noon, 1-3pm, 4-6pm.

Under the new guidelines, ten swimmers will be allowed in for one hour sessions, pre-booked online.

The changing rooms can't be used at present, so swimmers are asked to come changed ready to swim. However, a toilet will be available for urgent use.

To book the pool for an hour for a group of ten or under costs £30. The group of ten (or less) either a household or an organised group.

The adult to child ratios are the same as pool parties, namely :
- Children from four and above may be accompanied on a four children to one adult basis,
- Children 0 to three may be accompanied on a one adult to two children basis.
- Mixed age group one adult to three children basis.
Booking will be via www.wottonpool.co.uk up to two weeks in advance.

A post on the pool Facebook page reads: "At last, we are delighted to announce that we will be opening the pool daily from Wednesday, 15 July.

"We would love to be able to open on the usual basis – just turn up and pay at the gate, up to 40 swimmers.

"We have had so many lovely messages saying how much you’ve missed the pool and how much you are all looking forward to coming.

"And we would love to show off our fantastic new pool tiles and refurbished changing rooms to as many people as possible.

"Sadly, this just isn’t possible at the moment.

"A lifeguard will obviously be there as usual, but to keep everyone safe, both you and staff, we have a few infection control measures (in line with ‘Swim England’ guidelines) which will have to be in place initially."
