Beach locusts
ALTHOUGH I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment that the vast majority of us use common sense, with regard to how we behave in the current situation, the irresponsible and totally selfish behaviour of tens of thousands of people who descended like locusts onto the beaches of Bournemouth and elsewhere during the recent short heatwave is clear evidence that continued compliance by all with Government regulations, however inconvenient and intrusive they may be, is both relevant and necessary to avoid a new surge in infections.
I would suggest that Mr Wheatley has a look at the way infections are currently spiralling out of control in parts of the USA to determine whether mere ‘common sense’ alone is sufficient in controlling the virus.
