FIREFIGHTERS have helped retrieve a car that collided with the front of a pub in Calverhall.
The incident was reported at around 2.45pm on Saturday, July 11, at the The Old Jack Inn.
Two crews and the rescue tender were mobilised from Prees, Wellington and Whitchurch to remove the vehicle, as well as an operations officer.
Eyewitness reports suggest the car, a silver peugeot, swerved to avoid another car turning out of the junction and collided with the foyer of the pub.
Firefighters were on the scene for around 45 minutes while the car was removed.
