POLICE are appealing for witnesses after flower beds and bug hotels were damaged in Nailsworth.

The vandalism took place in Mortimer Gardens, Old Market, Nailsworth between 11.30pm on Saturday night and 7am on Sunday morning.

PC Katie Finch of Stroud Police asked for the public's help in a community alert post.

She said: "We're appealing for information following an incident of criminal damage which occurred at Mortimer Gardens, Old Market, Nailsworth between 2230hrs 11/7/20 and 0700hrs 12/7/20 whereby flower beds and bug hotels were damaged.

"As your local PC I want to tell you how cross I am about this.

"I would love to identify the culprits but need your help.

"We are aware that there was a report of up to 15 youths congregating in the area on the evening of the 11th playing loud music in a vehicle and shouting/swearing."

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call 101, with incident number 328 of 12/7/20.
