FIREFIGHTERS were called to Horsley Tip, also known as Pyke Quarry, on Sunday after a skip caught fire.
Staff at the tip called the fire service at 11am to report a fire in a recycling skip.
Two crews attended the fire, one from Dursley, and one from Stroud.
They used one jet, one hose reel and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
The crews left the site just after midday.
