A fancy dress fundraiser is being held at Old Down Country Park on Friday.

Children are being encouraged to come in the best costumes in order to raise money for Ezzy's Wish to Walk.

The entry fee for all children who come dressed up will be donated to Thornbury youngster Ezzy Hodge.

Six-year-old Ezzy was born with cerebral palsy and the money will go towards physio, specialist equipment and other aids that will help her through her rehabilitation.

The park is open from 10am-5pm, with the best dressed prize to be awarded in the adventure playground at 2pm.

A spokeswoman for the Old Down Estate said: "With the permission of Ezzy’s parents, Old Down Country Park will be hosting a fundraiser that states that all of its child entries of those dressed up on the day, will be donated fully towards the fundraiser.

"We are aware that there are still government restrictions and will be ensuring that all measures to needed will be taken to keep our visitors safe."
