STAR Wars figures, a Marilyn Monroe cushion and an orange upholstered chair were amongst the items for sale when Longfield Hospice's charity shop in Stonehouse reopened its doors this week.

Located on Barnard Parade, Bath Road, the store will now be opening Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 4pm.

Longfield posted on social media: "Another successful shop re-opening.

"Well done Stonehouse. Thank you to staff and volunteers for their hard work and all the customers who helped on a great first day's trading.

"Take a peek inside at some of the stock, there are lots of great items on offer."

Longfield Director of Operations Ian Cherry said: “We have ensured our store adheres to the Government guidelines on safety and social distancing and we look forward to welcoming our old and new customers into the store.”

The safety measures include allowing a maximum number of people in the shop at one time, and a plastic shield guard on the till point.
