A former Forest Green Rovers footballer has set up a new fitness company with his partner.
Joe Stokes and Holly Hughes, from Wotton-under-Edge, have founded JS Performance and will be offering a range of online fitness classes.
The pair both used to teach classes at Westgate Fitness in Tortworth, which recently closed.
Holly said: "After realising that the owner of Westgate Fitness wanted to shut down the business alongside the closure of the gym, we both jumped at the chance to start our own business.
"We love what we do and get such a buzz from helping people transform their lives.
"We'd built a great relationship with the members of Westgate so wanted to be able to continue working with them, but offer them something more tailored to our training preferences.
"We are focussed on developing our online training platform, it's been really popular as training from home works well for many people for a whole host of reasons including time, confidence and childcare.
"The beauty of online is that you don't have to be local either, we have people from as far away as Cumbria.
"Online we offer a range of classes from strength-based workouts, to HIIT, to functional fitness. We also run stretch and mobility sessions to aid recovery.
"Functional fitness is our favourite training method - it works to improve the daily functioning of our bodies, making us stronger and fitter to improve our ability to perform everyday tasks."
