READERS of the SNJ have spoken.
On National Fish and Chip Day we asked readers to recommend chippies in Stroud.
Many thanks to the dozens of people who nominated their favourite fry-ups on our Facebook page.
Topping the list of recommendations was the Jolly Fryer in Cashes Green.
The fryery was praised by lots of readers.
Big Fish, Nelson Street was also nominated by many readers, as well as Simpsons in Stroud.
The Frying Machine and the Nippy Chippy, both in Stonehouse got lots of recommendations, as did the Chip Shed in Minchinhampton. And one reader got in touch about the excellent chips at The Hog at Horsley on Saturday nights.
Slightly out of the Stroud area, but recommended none the less, were the the Berkeley Fish Bar, the Trafalgar Chippy in Tredworth and the Chef China in Mytchett, Surrey
