Chedworth news with David Broad

Pressure is building within Chedworth to challenge Cotswold District Council’s decision to grant permission for houses next to the village hall.

Proposals for a new pre school building are on the agenda as the pre school look again at a site on parish council land as an alternative to siting a building at the St Andrews School site.

Chedworth Village Hall car park is now pot hole free due to Ian Chamberlain, of IC Groundworks, who has patch the potholes in the Hall car park.

Despite some difficulty in sourcing asphalt, Ian’s donation has helped reduce the risk to pedestrians and cars in time for the new school term.

However pot holes are far from an endangered species and a large number can still be found around the village.

Chedworth Parish Council met remotely by zoom on Monday as the Covid-19 regulations and especially the new six people only meeting together indoors law seriously disrupts Chedworth’s meeting cycle.

Chedworth Silver Band had been looking at the 30 people recommendation with a view to resuming practice but again this has been put on hold with the threat of £100 fines for members of groups of more than six meeting indoors or outdoors.
