A 27-year-old Brimscombe man who drove away from the scene after crashing into a wall and telegraph pole in Stroud has been ordered to pay £807 in fines, compensation and costs.

At Cheltenham Magistrates Court on September 16, Michael Carden of Albert Road, Brimscombe, admitted being the driver of a VW Caddy which caused damage to a wall on one side of Slad Road, Stroud, and a telegraph pole of the other on March 4 this year.
