BUSINESSES based in Gloucestershire can now apply for SME Recovery grants of up to £3,000 to help them access Business West’s Covid-19 Back to Business Consultation Package.
The package is designed to help Gloucestershire businesses bounce-back from the effects of coronavirus, and to improve their business resilience and preparedness for the end of the EU transition period.
Applications opened at 10am today.
After the first 200 applications have been received, they will temporarily be paused for an initial assessment, and it is anticipated that demand will be high.
If businesses are successful in applying for the grant, this can be used to access Business West’s Covid-19 consultation package, based on eight strands of specialist support assembled to aid businesses through the current coronavirus crisis.
Examples of support available includes Export Documentation and Customs Clearance training, Export Resilience and Preparedness advice, VAT and taxation support and International Market Research reports and consultation.

James Monk, Director of Commercial Services at Business West said: “At a time when cashflow is tight, this grant is a great opportunity for Gloucestershire based firms to access support at a time when it is most needed.
“I would encourage all businesses, especially exporters, who are eligible and in need of advice to apply and I am confident that Business West’s Covid-19 Back to Business Consultation Package will help businesses to get back on their feet in this challenging period.”
