A careless driver from King's Stanley who drove off after damaging a Stroud property has been disqualified for a year.
At Cheltenham Magistrates Court on September 30 Daniel Marrett, 37, of Coldwell Lane, King's Stanley, admitted charges of driving without due care and attention and failing to stop after an accident.
The offences happened on April 15 this year when he was driving an Audi A3 in Cashes Green Road, Stroud, and had an accident in which damage was caused at 1, Hyett Road.
The magistrates banned him from driving for a year and ordered him to pay £487 in fines, costs and surcharges,
They said the disqualification was obligatory due to repeat offending by Marrett.
The court also imposed an 18 months community order on Marrett, requiring him to participate in a 19 day thinking skills programme.
