A 39-year-old Framilode man caught drink driving on the A38 has been banned from the roads for 14 months.

At Cheltenham Magistrates Court on Monday, October 12, John Pettigrew from Framilode, admitted driving a Transit van at Gossington on the A38 on September 12 with 56 micrograms of alcohol on his breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.

He was disqualified from driving for 14 months and ordered to pay £303 in fines, costs and surcharges.

The magistrates told him that if he takes a Government approved driving course at his own expense by June 27 next year he will reduce his ban by 106 days.
