A 38-year-old Stroud woman has been ordered to pay £150 compensation to a man she assaulted in Gloucester in August.
At Cheltenham Magistrates Court on October 13, Shereene Warrington of Foxmoor Lane, Ebley, pleaded guilty to assaulting a man by beating him in Gloucester on August 1.
She also admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on the same date.
The magistrates conditionally discharged her for a year and ordered her to pay £150 compensation.
They said they gave her full credit for pleading guilty at the earliest opportunity.
No order for costs was made against her because she had insufficient means to pay and the compensation took priority financially, the court said.
She was granted time to pay the compensation at the rate of £20 a month, starting on Oct 27.
