A 90-YEAR-old art student from Dursley was presented with a special glass plaque in celebration of her birthday.
Barbara Mitchard, a student at Kingshill House, has been a Dursley resident since the early 1960s.
A retired teacher, during her career she taught music and home economics at local schools.
She has been attending stained glass classes at Kingshill House in Dursley for more than 12 years.
“I love coming to Kingshill House,” said Barbara.
“Caroline Lambert is such a great teacher and over the years I have made so many different things.
“I am most proud of a nativity scene that is used in our local church - I helped make the crib and I also made Mary and Joseph.”
Barbara’s tutor Caroline Lambert made a special glass plaque to mark the occasion.
She said: “Barbara is so creative and always up for trying new techniques.
“Whenever it is someone’s birthday, she makes the most amazing cards, but this time it was our turn to celebrate her milestone”
