A NEW chippy is set to open in a Chalford pub.

Sarah and Jono Armstrong, owners of the Old Neighbourhood have united with the Seare family to produce their own 'Chippy on the Hill'.

They are hoping to open from Tuesday, November 17.

Taking to Facebook to announce the news, they said: "Yes it is finally happening.

"The Seare and Armstrong families have united to produce our very own "Chippy on the hill".

"Our menu will incorporate your usual fish shop staples such as cod, scampi, fishcakes, saveloys and pukka pies, but we will be adding rotisserie chicken, vegan burgers, roast dinners and a few of The Old Neighbourhood meals too such as curries, crumbed chicken, pizzas and burgers.

"For the foreseeable future the chippy reception will be in the pub separate from the main bar, with it's own waiting area and it's own entrance.

"We will have the relevant covid regulations in place and you can eat in or take out with deliveries starting a few weeks later.

Over the next few weeks The Old Neighbourhood pub kitchen will be a little erratic due to ongoing works.

"Please bear with us during this time as we have the floors reinforced and rotisserie machines and large fryers fitted.

The chefs are also heading up north to be fully trained by award winning Mark Petrou so we can get our fayre just right.

"So please check on Facebook to see if the kitchen is open before you come to eat.

"Finally thank you all for your on going support during these difficult trading times."
