Valerie Bowen, the "Plant Lady" of Nailsworth Market, died peacefully on October 21 at her home, aged 58 years. Much loved Wife of John, Mother of Jennifer and Andrew and Grandmother of Aeryn, Sam and Brandon. Due to current restrictions a private family funeral will be held. Meryl Catherine Violet Hyde (nee Blackadder) formerly a staff nurse at Stroud General Hospital for almost 40 years, passed away on October 15 in Bedale at home aged 79 years. A beloved wife of Roy and loving mother of Andrew and mother in law to Sarah. A much loved and greatly missed grandmother of Jacob and Ben. A private funeral service will be held for immediate family and friends at St Mary's Church, Thornton Watlass, HG4 4AJ, on the 29th October at 13:00.
