A driver on the M5 near Bristol drove the wrong way up the motorway towards a police car last night.
Luckily Avon and Somerset Police Roads Policing Unit were able to stop the car before it caused a collision.
The driver now has a court date to attend.
The police unit tweeted: "Luckily it was one of our vehicles that was coming towards it rather than a member of the public."
