THE Marah Trust has been continuing to support homeless, vulnerable and disadvantaged people in the Stroud area throughout the pandemic.

The Marah team serve up free, nutritious take away meals three times a week, and are now regularly giving out over 100 meals per session.

Their annual Christmas meal will be this Saturday. This year it is takeaway only, due to Covid regulations. The meals will be served at the Stroud Valley Scouting and Community Centre in Chapel Street, from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.

All the costs for the meal have again been kindly covered by local business, Nuview Ltd of Stroud.

Marah has also been given a donation by the Julia and Hans Rausing Trust to provide additional food support packs.

And Waitrose have also made a contribution for costs over the holiday period.

The weekly food sessions take place at the Stroud Valley Scouting and Community Centre in Chapel Street on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1pm to 2.30pm. Anyone who would like to help Marah is asked to visit marah.org.uk for details. If you are concerned about someone sleeping rough, visit: streetlink.org.uk, or call 0300 500 0914.
