Woodruffs organic café in Stroud has launched a food delivery service as lockdown keeps shoppers away from the high street.
The cafe is delivering healthy vegan and vegetarian meals and homemade cakes to people at home in Stroud and the surrounding areas.
Jamie Shaw, who took over Woodruffs in February, said: “With the high street understandably very quiet at the moment, we want to bring our homemade food to people at home.”
“We remain open for takeaway organic coffee, homemade cakes and a selection of takeaway lunches.”
The menu features winter dishes such as a vegan moussaka with a seasonal salad, a spinach and sweet potato dal, and vegetable paella. Single or whole cakes are also available.
Woodruffs, which takes its name from the original owner’s dog, has been on the high street since 1998, and claims to be Britain’s first organic cafe.
Orders can be made online here, and can be delivered Monday to Friday.
