Heavy snow is forecast to fall across Gloucestershire tomorrow morning.

A yellow weather warning for snow is in place for the entire county from 3am-9pm on Sunday.

Temperatures could fall to as low as -3°C overnight, with a band of rain and snow arriving from the west and moving across the country tomorrow.

The heaviest snow in Gloucestershire is expected to fall around 9am.

Snow is also forecast in South Gloucestershire.

A post on the South Gloucestershire Council Facebook page stated: "We are expecting a large band of snow to move through South Glos tomorrow from around 6am, with heaviest snowfall expected between 9 and 10am, then gradually clearing away towards midday.

"Accumulations of 1-3cm are likely across South Glos with around 5cm on higher ground in the Old Sodbury, Acton Turville, Badminton and Marshfield areas.

"By the time the snow arrives, all of our primary routes will have been treated four times in the last 36 hours. Our gritters will then be out again during the snow."
