A film set and shot in Stroud will be available to watch for one day only.

Philophobia, written and directed by Randwick filmmaker Guy Davies, can be streamed on Saturday, January 30.

The film was shot in Stroud, Randwick, Minchinhampton and Stonehouse during summer 2017.

Philophobia, which means the fear of falling in love, tells the story of Kai and his friends during their last week of school.

The film won the Best Global Cinema award at the San Diego Film Festival in 2019 amongst several other awards and even had a national cinema release last year, selling out Leicester Square in the process, after Guy offered the film to cinemas affected by the postponement of blockbusters such as No Time To Die.

But Saturday will be the first, and for now only, chance to watch the film online.

Guy said: "I know there were plenty of Stroudies that missed it in the Vue cinema when lockdown hit and were eager to get a chance to watch it."

Tickets for the film cost £4.99 and are available from philophobia.eventive.org
