A TETBURY man who admitted driving after taking cocaine has been banned from the roads for three years.
Timothy Moss, 44, of Charlton Road, committed the offence on April 24 and on May 12 last year, Cheltenham Magistrates Court was told on January 29.
On April 24, 2020, Moss was driving on Cotswold Road, Cashes Green, Stroud, when he was stopped by police.
When tested Moss was found to have benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine in his blood. The reading was 800mg, above the legal limit. He was also found to be over the specified limit for cocaine.
The second offence took place on May 12, 2020, when Moss was stopped while driving on the A419 in Stroud.
When tested Moss was again found to have benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine in his blood. The reading was over the legal limit. Once more, Moss was found to be over the specified limit for cocaine.
Moss was fined £240, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
