A Nailsworth man who beat a woman in Stroud has been discharged conditionally.
Andrew Thomas, 33, of Bridge Street, Nailsworth, pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates Court to assaulting the woman on July, 17, 2020 and was discharged conditionally for 12 months.
This means he will be released and his offence will be registered on his criminal record, but no further will be action taken unless he commits a further offence within this period.
At the court on February 4, the judge ordered Thomas to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £22 and to pay costs of £135 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
He has until March 4, 2021 to pay.
