A COUNTY-LINES drug operation in Stroud has been intercepted by police.

A man from London has been arrested, charged and remanded on suspicion of class A drug supply after cuckooing a vulnerable drug user in the Stroud area.

Cuckooing refers to when dealers from out of the area take over a local property, normally belonging to a vulnerable person, and use it to operate their criminal activity from.

Gloucestershire Police's serious and organised crime operations team were assisted by police dog Stella the Staffie and her handler, PC Claire Todd, in searching the vulnerable drug user's address.
