A 32-year-old van driver from Stroud man has been banned from the roads for a year after driving under the influence of cannabis.
Michael Elson, of Uplands, Stroud, drove a Ford transit van down the A436 in Seven Springs, Cheltenham on May 11 last year.
At Cheltenham Magistrates Court on Friday, he pleaded guilty to using the vehicle with more than 10 micrograms of Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood, the psychoactive constituent of cannabis.
Elson was fined £307 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
He has until March 12, 2021 to pay the total of £426.
