A cheesemaker in Leonard Stanley has shared the brilliant moment when they let their cows out for Spring.

There was a spring in their step and Spring in the air as these happy cows pranced their way into Church Farm near Stroud, where Godsells Cheese is made.

The family business makes their cheese using milk from cows in their own herd and one other local farm, meaning the animals get access to a large fields for half the year.

"Our cows have got that spring feeling - we turned our cows out and as you can see, they were happy to see the back of winter," Godsells Cheese wrote in a Facebook post.

"Grass is naturally high in sugars so don't be surprised if you find our milk tasting even better than before. Roll on spring and sunshine."

They produce Double Gloucester, Single Gloucester - which won gold at the World Cheese Awards 2012 - Leonard Stanley, Waxed Cheddar and Scary Mary.
