OUTDOOR clothing brand Craghoppers is opening a new store at Stroud’s Five Valleys shopping centre later this month.

Founded in Yorkshire in 1965 Craghoppers aims to create comfortable and practical clothing at affordable prices and using the latest technology.

The company prides itself on its ethical trading policy and on offering a lifetime guarantee and won Brand of the Year in the 2020 Drapers Sustainable Fashion Awards for its Mindfully Made project.

Craghoppers is part of the Regatta family of brands and has 1,335 stores worldwide, 845 of them are standalone or concessions in the UK.

The new store at Five Valleys will be near to the Five Valleys market and will cover 1,980 sq. ft. The company aims to open the doors when the restrictions on non-essential retail lift on April 12th.

The new Five Valleys store will stock a range of men’s, women’s and children’s outdoor wear.

Joanne Black, managing director of Craghoppers said: “Our outdoor brands have fared well over the last twelve months with so many people taking up walking and enjoying the outdoors. As our physical stores start to reopen, we are delighted to be bringing a new store to Five Valleys in Stroud.

“Stroud is a great location for Craghoppers, close to some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK and of course proud of its reputation for championing sustainability which is something our brand is also proud of.”

Five Valleys shopping centre is owned and managed by Yorkshire based Dransfield Properties.

James Shepherd of Dransfield said: “We are really pleased to be welcoming Craghoppers to Five Valleys.

“They are a great outdoor brand which we are really confident will do well in the town. We wish the whole team all the very best for the opening.”

The new Sandersons Department store opens at Five Valleys during the same week, with a scheduled opening on April 14th.
