Protesters in Stroud piled up chairs in the Sub Rooms on April 10, 1908.
It is believed the campaigners were disrupting a meeting supporting a licensing bill which, if passed, would have put pubs under close state control.
Also pictured: three boys on New Bridge, Eastington.
And: crowds gathered outside the Sub Rooms in Stroud to hear the proclamation of King George V, on May 12th 1910.
These images are all part of the Museum in the Park’s Wilf Merrett Postcard Collection.
