AN AWARD winning Nailsworth restaurant is to be converted into b and b rooms.
Wild Garlic, which received a recommendation in the Michelin Guide for 2021, is going to be made into rooms to let.
The Cossack Square venue was headed up by Chef Patron Matthew Beardshall, who will continue to share his culinary expertise at Wilder, on Market Street in Nailsworth.
In a statement on the Wild Garlic website, the team said: "For over 13 years we have loved serving the good folk of Nailsworth (and beyond), however, it is with sadness, we have taken the decision to convert Wild Garlic Restaurant into more rooms, adding to our existing five letting rooms.
"A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years, you have been amazing.
"Matthew will still be cooking in Nailsworth, just over the road at Wilder on Market Street.
"This has been our passion project since 2017, a recent 3 AA rosettes award has been a great endorsement of the team’s hard work.
"Wilder is a modern dining space (without the stuffiness) right in the heart of Nailsworth, serving a surprise tasting menu, it’s the perfect place for that special evening out."
