A 31-year-old Stroud man who beat a woman in Cirencester has been banned from drinking for four months.
Jonathon Waldron, of Capel Court, Uplands, was sentenced on Tuesday at Cheltenham Magistrates Court for assaulting a woman by beating her on November 11, 2020.
The judge ordered Waldron to abstain from drinking alcohol for 120 days, monitored by an officer, and to participate in up to 20 days of rehabilitation appointments.
Waldron, who pleaded guilty on March 16, was ordered to pay surcharge to fund victim services of £95 and to pay costs of £45 by May 11, 2021.
