Following the closure of the toilets at renowned 'dogging' spot Tog Hill, a number of other local locations are being enjoyed by 'doggers' according to websites advertising their whereabouts.

Many of the spots mentioned are day trip locations for families, but at night, particularly at weekends, they are being used as a rendezvous spot for those who partake in ‘dogging’.

The activity is described as the practice of watching or engaging in exhibitionist sexual activity in a public place, and there are several adult websites where the exhibitionists rate and review the spots, and explain exactly where to go to avoid public detection.

Dogging itself is not illegal, but it can be if another person sees the act. If it causes outrage to a witness, an offence may be committed. The offence is one of public indecency, or public nuisance - but having sex in a public place is not against the law.

Apparently, The Cotswolds has always been known for it’s dogging locations, but after the notorious spot in Tog Hill was forced to close its toilets due to anti-social behaviour, many 'doggers' are descending on the villages and woods in Gloucestershire instead.
