The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for disruptive winds in Stroud today (Tuesday).
Some delays to road, bus and rail are predicted and possible damage to temporary structures and trees.
Blustery showers will be interrupted by sunny spells in the morning, turning to heavier rain in the afternoon.
Winds should ease towards the end of the day but the temperature will remain cold, with a maximum of 13C.
The Met Office expects sunny spells and scattered showers on Wednesday, followed by cloud on Thursday with outbreaks of rain.
Friday should be drier with sunny spells, but remaining cold.
