Police have seized cannabis possessed by a drug driver from Stroud and banned him from the roads for a year.
Joseph Richards, 31, from Riverdale in Chalford, was arrested after police caught him driving under the influence of cannabis and with four grams of the drug in his possession.
At Cheltenham Magistrates court on May 10, Richards pleaded guilty to possessing the drugs and driving in Dr Newtons Way, Stroud, with an amount of tetrahydrocannabinol, an constituent of cannabis, in his blood above legal limits.
The judge fined him £300 and ordered him to pay £85 in court costs and a surcharge of £34 to fund victim services for the crimes, which occured on July 29, 2020.
Richards must pay the total amount, £419, by June 7.
