THIS picture shows the horrifying moment police found a teenager with a 10 inch blade down his trousers when they responded to incident in Stroud on Sunday.

The discovery was made after officers attended a crash in which four teenagers in a Skoda Fabia crashed into a telegraph pole.

The teens were arrested in Stonehouse after their car hit a telegraph pole in Haresfield at 3.20pm.


It was at this time that the arresting officers discovered the knife allegedly hidden in one of the teenager’s trousers.


A spokeswoman for Gloucestershire Police said: “Police recovered a 10 inch blade allegedly found inside a man’s trousers after arresting four teenagers in Stonehouse on Sunday.


“The discovery was made after officers responded to reports a Skoda Fabia hit a telegraph pole in Haresfield at 3.20pm.


“They arrested a 16-year-old boy, two 17-year old boys, and an 18-year old man, all from Tuffley, at the scene in connection with the incident.


“Two offensive weapons were seized, including the large knife, and cash and empty drug deal bags were also allegedly found.


“They have all since been released from custody.


In a Tweet about the incident Gloucestershire Police Specialist Operations said: “We are out there protecting innocent members of the public from individuals who think it’s ok to carry these types of weapons on the streets.”
