POPULAR Stroud micropub, the Little George has closed.
Situated on George Street, the venue was Stroud's first and only micropub.
Manager Danny Stevens said the Little George had to vacate the premises on George Street and the team had struggled to find an alternative site.
He said: "Due to the coronavirus situation, our landlord had to sell the building.
"We have tried to find another property to rent but all the rents are too high.
"That along with are main customer base being 40 plus, and now with a possible full smoking ban outside work places its very hard to keep going.
"Me and Gemma are very disappointed we can not reopen as we have formed a very good relationship with a lot of people with in Stroud."
The Little George opened its doors in 2016, offering a diverse range of real ales and ciders, gins, wine, soft drinks as well as bottled Belgian and craft beers.
The small intimate venue was well known for its friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The building underwent an interior renovation to transform it from the former premises of the Absolutely Fabulous beauty salon in 2016.
