Nika the Stroud police dog
A police dog tracked down a thief who was breaking into cars and stealing personal items in Stroud.
Police Constable Shields was called to Stroud after reports of a man breaking into a car in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Nika the police dog was deployed to find the suspect, who she tracked to Lansdown Road where firearms officers arrested him at 2.20am on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle.
While looking for the man, Nika found another car which had been broken into.
