Gloucestershire Constabulary are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision involving a car and a lorry on the A46 near Teddington last night.

The collision took place between the Teddington Hands roundabout and Aston Cross traffic lights at around 8.20pm and involved a grey Renault Megane and white HGV.

The driver of the Renault Megane, a man in his 50s and from the Droitwich area, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.

The driver of the HGV, a man in his 30s and from the Worksop area, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital after sustaining injuries which were not deemed to be serious. His next of kin is also aware.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision and would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident and hasn't already been spoken to as well as anyone with dashcam footage.
